Incubus Concert at PNC Pavilion

I had bought Sean and I tickets to see Incubus months ago. The day finally came, and the concert was amazing! Unfortunately Sean and I had to work the next day, so we were unable to stay for the entire set, but we had a great time with Phi-Phi all the same. It’s been awhile since I’ve been to a concert, and it was Sean’s first time [exciting]. It was fun getting to people watch; we noticed a lot of people wearing tights that were very see-through. Do we dare tell them? We decided to keep track instead. Sean and I like our beer, and neither of us were willing to pay the $11.50 the Pavilion was charging. So we paid $4 for the value market draft; Natty Light. Let me say, Natty Light never tasted so good.

It was so awesome getting to see Incubus live. What's funny is Sean and I had bought chairs at a garage sale, and totally forgot them in the car! Everyone had a blanket, or some sort of sitting device...rookies we are. We will be more prepared next time for sure. Technically we had paid for seats, but decided to sit in the lawn instead. It was a great time, and I'm so happy we were able to make it out.

      3 Reason Why You Should Wax:



1. No Ingrown HairsWhen I shave, I get a lot of ingrown hairs. If you don't know, ingrown hairs are painful and ugly. These result into black spots on my skin. Since waxing, the ingrown hairs have subsided, and with the use of Jergens, the black spots are fading.

White Water Rafting Fireworks

I indulge in any reason to celebrate [Thanks Mom!], and I become very antsy if I don't have something planned for a holiday. Luckily, everything came together really well and we had a great time! Stacy, Sean and I decided to go to the White Water Rafting Center for their 4th of July celebration.

Of course, it was packed.

But we were able to find a place to sit on the lawn, grab a few beers, talk and listen to the music.

The fireworks were definitely worth waiting for, and don't you worry, I captured the grand finale for you all to see :)

It's a boy!

On Sunday, I attended Cherrelle's baby shower. It was lovely. I have not attended many baby showers, so I wasn't sure what to expect. I remember when she first shared the great news! I was so excited to have the change to watch her belly grow. The baby shower was a wonderful combination of delicious food and great company. I miss seeing Cherrelle on a daily basis, so it was really nice getting to be around her and a few other lovely ladies I haven't seen in over a month. The food though...and the cake....



....I love cake! Thankfully Lauren shared some of her frosting with me [lol]. My eyes are so much bigger than stomach and when it comes to cake I want the biggest piece the host[ess] is willing to give.

 

Lauren, Kelly and I went in on the gifts together, allowing us to get more without breaking the bank.

What to do on a Friday night

After a full week of work [and the bank account starts looking a little dry], you know that it's time to let loose, drink a little and laugh a lot. Sean and I went to my older brothers house to relax and sit around the fire. My brother cooked the burgers, Kelsie made a delicious pasta salad and Sean and I brought the chips. Once we finished eating it started to rain, putting a damper on our attempts to head outside. Sean and Kelsie found, and downloaded a game called "Heads Up!" which kept us laughing until the rain subsided.

The evening went wonderfully and I hope we will do it again! Thinking we may need to add a fire pit "how to" to the summer project list.....
